I'm Gavrie Philipson, a software architecture advisor.
I build initial versions of the options for the architecture decisions in front of your teams, measure whatever is required, and help you make the right decision while changes are still cheap.
For the past twenty-five years I have played a central part in building the kind of systems people now call me about: cluster internals at Redis, genomics ML pipelines at Ultima, streaming payment data at Sunbit, and the test platform behind IBM's XIV storage array. Most of the work was on distributed, performance-critical systems, in Rust, Go, Python and C.
The teams I work with now have critical architecture decisions in front of them that are worth getting right. I still write code every week, working with the coding agents your engineers use, which is what keeps my advice specific enough to act on.
I work on-site in the Tel Aviv area, and remotely otherwise.

An architecture argument is usually not just a disagreement about facts: each team tries to reach the best solution based on the constraints it knows about. What makes it so hard to reach the right decision is how the constraints from several teams combine.
You already have a strong in-house team. Why would you bring an outsider in to help with this? After all, your engineers know their part of the system far better than I will after a few weeks.
What is hard from the inside is caring about another group’s constraints as deeply as the ones you are accountable for. I arrive without an agenda to defend. Having worked on a wide variety of teams, I know how to explain the constraints of one team to the others and distinguish the things that are actually hard to do from those that are a matter of taste.
